Taggart Lake Trail
On this trail, you'll encounter streams and rivers cascading over rocks and trickling through the woods. Eventually, you'll reach Taggart Lake, where you'll see the Tetons looming just beyond the edge of the lake. The scene at the trailhead is grassy and open, but you know that soon, you'll be entering green woods.
Standing at the trailhead of the Taggart Lake Trail, you already have a stunning view of the sweeping Tetons in the distance. In a easy 3.2 mile hike, you'll wind closer and closer to the mountains, passing through forests of aspens. In certain areas, you'll notice new growth coming up from ashy areas that were scorched in a forest fire years earlier.
